6. May 2025

In April, monday.com is once again bringing a breath of fresh air to your monday.com environment! The latest updates will make your Work OS platform even more powerful, smarter and more user-friendly. Whether it’s automation, CRM, AI or service – there are new functions everywhere that will not only make your day-to-day work more efficient, but also more enjoyable.

Let’s start with an overview of the most important highlights.

Work OS platform

Managed Templates

Status of the update: fully rolled out

Managed templates offer an easy way to centrally define company-wide workflows while leaving enough room for individual customisation. They are ideal for creating standards and scaling efficiently at the same time. The most important features include

  • Create comprehensive templates that include boards, dashboards, documents and more – including predefined settings and access rights.
  • Instances of these templates can be created flexibly in any workspace and customised as required.
  • Changes to the central template (parent) can be made at any time and rolled out to all existing instances with a single click.
  • Clear administration: All instances based on the template can be viewed in the account together with their name and location.

This feature is only for:

  • Enterprise accounts
  • Workflow builder and administrators configure the template

Use Case

This function opens up a lot of possibilities – especially for companies that coordinate several teams or departments. It is ideal for anyone who wants to create standardised workflows and data structures without restricting the flexibility of individual teams.

Export automations as CSV

Status of the update: fully rolled out

You can now easily export your active automations as a CSV file.
This is particularly practical if you:

  • want to gain deeper insights into your automations
  • want to create detailed analyses or statistics
  • want to conveniently process your data in Excel or another tool – e.g. for reports or internal reviews

@mentions now also in the item description

Status of the update: fully rolled out

A small but nice new feature: From now on, you can mention other users directly in the item description of an item – just like you know it from updates or comments.

That means:

  • You can draw colleagues’ attention directly to important information
  • Assign responsibilities clearly
  • Or simply make sure that nobody overlooks anything

Ideal for anyone who works with several people on one item – whether in project management, CRM or support.

monday CRM

Products and Service Board

Status of the update: fully rolled out

Users can now manage their saleable items directly and centrally via a dedicated P&S board (Products & Services). This makes it even easier to organise and use products and services in the sales process.

What is possible?

  • Products and services can be easily assigned to a deal in CRM
  • When creating quotations or invoices, you can access the values of the products and services directly – automatically, using your standard templates
  • Everything remains centralised, consistent and clear

Use cases

  • Products & services remain synchronised – e.g. between monday CRM and QuickBooks, ERP or other systems
  • You can create quotes and write invoices faster, directly in the context of a deal
  • Sales statistics and reports on saleable items become easier
  • In the future, you will even be able to manage stocks directly in the CRM – without extra tools

monday Service

“Attached files” column

Status of the update: partially rolled out

With the new function, file attachments from incoming emails are automatically uploaded to the “Attached files” column on the monday service ticket board. This means no more manual saving or forwarding – the files are automatically where they belong.
This not only provides a better overview, but also ensures that important information is directly visible and accessible in the ticket – in the “Ticket info” and in the file gallery view.

Use Case

  • Customers or internal employees send screenshots, PDFs or other files to the service by e-mail
  • Perfect for teams that receive a lot of enquiries by email and still want to keep an overview

monday AI

Keep an eye on your AI credits now

Status of the update: fully rolled out

Who uses how much AI – and for what exactly? Admins now have the option of tracking the use of AI credits directly in the admin interface. This creates transparency and helps to manage the use of AI in the company in a targeted manner.

What is possible?

  • You can see which boards and workflows consume the most AI credits
  • You recognise who the most active users are
  • And you have access to historical data from previous billing cycles

Use Case

  • Smart allocation of resources: Which teams benefit most from AI? Where is its use really worthwhile?
  • Keep costs under control: Find out if and where credits are going to waste – and make better decisions about whether you need more or less AI contingent in the future
  • Identify optimisation potential: Use the data as a basis for strategic investments in AI tools that add real value

AI meets transparency: results now explained in a comprehensible way

Status of the update: full released

Users can now recognise from each cell whether it was generated by AI. A coloured frame indicates a successful AI result, while a red frame indicates that there were no results.
Clicking on the AI explanation frame will display an AI-generated rationale for successful outcomes and an actionable rationale for unsuccessful outcomes.

Use Case

Whether it’s a sales forecast, applicant proposal or text generation – wherever AI blocks are used, you now have more transparency, control and understanding of the why behind the result.

monday Workflows

Live updates on site and data protection-compliant visibility

Status of the update: fully rolled out

Users of monday Workflows now benefit from two practical new features:

  • Live field updates: You can see the latest names of boards, columns, status fields and more at any time. If something has been renamed, the change is automatically applied to your workflow.
  • Privacy-compliant visibility: If a workflow contains inaccessible or deleted boards or columns, these are clearly labelled as “Private” or “Deleted”. This ensures that you can only see what you are actually authorised to see.
