What are “Sequenzen” in monday CRM?
Sequences allows you to create automated workflows for customer interactions that are coordinated with each other. You can set automated emails, reminders for calls or tasks that always reach your customers at the right time. This ensures that no important steps are overlooked and that every customer receives consistent, high-quality support.
Note: Sequences are currently in the BETA phase and will be introduced gradually. This feature is only available for monday CRM in the Pro and Enterprise plan.

Access and authorizations in Sequences
You can call up Sequences on two levels:
Account level:
To view all Sequences of your CRM account, open Sequences via the left navigation menu. There you will find the “Sequences” item.
Board level:
At board level, you can view the sequences via the contacts and leads boards. This is particularly useful if you manage your own accounts as a team member. Open the relevant board and select “Sequences” at the top.

The authorizations in Sequences depend on your role in the account:
- Admin: You can call up and edit all Sequences.
- Sequence creator and owner: You can only edit and manage your own Sequences.
- Account members and viewers: You can view all sequences, but not make any edits.
Important:There are no role-based restrictions when viewing Sequences. However, users only have access to sequences at board level if they are allowed to view the corresponding board. Alternatively, they can view all sequences via the navigation menu on the left-hand side.
How to create a Sequence
Once you have created your sequences, give them an easy-to-understand name for your team and then select the appropriate actions:
-
- Automatic emails: Schedule automatic emails to be sent according to your desired schedule.
- Manual emails: Create reminders for team members to send personal emails to customers – ideal for more personalized interactions.
- General tasks: Define tasks that should be completed at specific times and set automatic reminders.
- Call tasks: Set call reminders so that the team can actively contact the customer at set times.
- Delay steps: Determine delays between actions so that each interaction takes place exactly at the desired timing.

After completing your sequences and adjusting the settings under “Rules and Notifications,” you can save your work. Simply click “Save Sequences” in the top-right corner. You’ll then be redirected to the Sequences Manager.

When you save your sequence, you will be redirected back to the start page, where you will find a three-dot menu next to your sequence in the right-hand column. If data is missing, you can add it via “Missing data”. Once all the required information has been entered, you can activate the sequence directly in the sequence manager or via the “Rules and notifications” tab.

Automations and action limits
Each step in a Sequence counts as an automation action in your account. This allows you to keep track of your automation limit when planning your sequences. For example: A sequence with five steps uses five automation actions, plus one additional action to complete the sequence.
Why use Sequences?
Increase efficiency:
Automated workflows save your team time and allow them to focus more on personal support.
Consistent quality:
Every customer receives consistently high-quality service, regardless of which employee is responsible.
Improved customer loyalty:
Through planned and targeted touchpoints, you increase your customers’ engagement and ensure a positive experience.
Vision of the future: What will soon be possible in Sequences?
The monday.com team is constantly working on making the sequences even better. Here is a preview of upcoming functions:
-
- Public holiday and time zone management: You will soon be able to plan your sequences so that emails are paused on public holidays and time zones are taken into account for delivery.
