Use mirror column as input
Status of the update: rolled out in stages
Users can now perform specific AI actions that include an open prompt, such as custom actions or “Write me”. e.g. customised actions or “Write to me”. Mirror columns can be used as input for the prompt.
Use Case
This feature is suitable for all scenarios in which mirror columns are used as a source, e.g. project management with linked main and sub-boards. e.g. project management with linked main and sub-boards.

Synchronise board permissions with Managed Template
Status of the update: partially rolled out
Owners of managed templates can now standardise permissions across multiple boards. This allows you to define what non-owners are allowed to see, edit or do. This feature is only available for Enterprise accounts.
Use Case
A portfolio manager wants to change the permissions for all project boards so that non-owners can only see the tasks assigned to them:Inside can only see the tasks assigned to them.
The PM can adjust and synchronise the permissions in the Managed Template , so that each project board created from it automatically adopts the new authorisations.

Authentication policies and user-related SSO exceptions
Status of the update: partially rolled out
Enterprise admins now have a central location to configure authentication policies, and the ability to exclude individual users from SSO authentication. These users can log in via email and password instead.
Use Case
Break-Glass Admin Access
Allows a “Break-Glass” user to access the account without SSO. Admins can use this if there is a problem with the SSO provider or the SSO configuration and they need access to monday to make changes.
Service accounts for machine access
Creation of a service account for non-human users/bots, that cannot be configured with SSO and therefore need to must use a username and password.
VIP access
Onboarding of a new high-ranking officer or director, who needs immediate access before their SSO account is fully configured.
Test user
Creation of a test user outside the SSO to test the account setup and authorisation configuration.
Break-Glass-Admin
A break-glass admin is a special administrator account that is only used in emergencies when regular access, e.g. via single sign-on (SSO), does not work. It is used to quickly gain access to systems in critical situations, e.g. in the event of an outage or security incident.

Announcement banner
Status of the update: partially rolled out
Enterprise admins can now configure an announcement banner for all users of an account within the monday.com platform. Text and an optional link can be defined.
Use Case
Effective communication for important updates, e.g:
- Maintenance announcements: Inform your team about planned system maintenance.
- Town Hall updates: Share important news and company events.
- Employee surveys: Ask for feedback to shape the future together.

Independent projects with high-level status and overview

As part of the further development to differentiate between project entities and regular boards, users of the work management system are now provided with the following features
- Built-in project overviews
- Automatic RAG status (red, yellow, green)
- Prefabricated columns based on project best practices
These new features are only available in work management in the Enterprise plan

A project manager needs an overview of the health and status of the project, including the change history.
Project-specific fields
At project level, project managers can check fields , that describe the project and not just the individual tasks.

Replacement of the old integration ” Create project from template
Status of the update: partially rolled out
The old integration “Create project from template” will be discontinued by the end of the year. Customers using this integration should switch to the new version by 1 January to avoid problems and benefit from an improved user experience and future enhanced features.
This innovation is only available in work management in the Enterprise plan.
Use Case
Approval/intake board
Automatic creation of new projects as soon as an initiative has been approved.
External integrations
Used in combination with an external integration to trigger projects (e.g. “When a JIRA epic is created…”). e.g. “When a JIRA epic is created…”).
Troubleshooting
The new version fixes the problem of project creation without a linked column to the portfolio.

Timeline AI summary
Status of the update: partially rolled out
Users can now automatically create concise summaries of interactions and communications with leads and customers within the monday CRM E& A timeline.A timeline .
Target group
This feature is available for:
- Pro and Enterprise plans
- Users who have accepted the AI terms and conditions
- Users with at least 5 activities in the timeline
- Users who have not yet reached the daily limit of 5 summaries per day per user
Use Case
Sales representative prepares for a meeting
A sales representative can use the AI-generated timeline summary , to get a comprehensive overview of recent interactions with a customer. This includes communication style and open-ended tasks to customise the sales conversation.
Sales manager gets a quick overview
A sales manager uses the AI summary to get a quick overview of team communication with key customers. This makes it possible to assess the progress of deals, identify stalled opportunities and ensure timely follow-ups. With a clear overview of each sales rep’s communication history, the manager can provide targeted coaching to improve performance and close more deals successfully.

Linking of accounts & contacts
Status of the update: partially rolled out
From now on, when a new contact is added to the CRM, the system automatically checks whether a suitable account exists (based on the user’s email address). If a corresponding account exists, the contact will be linked to it. If not, a new account is created and assigned to the contact.
Target group
New and existing CRM users who work with the Contacts and Accounts entities.

All use cases, that relate to communication with customers throughout the entire sales process:

New action: Support for the timeline column
Status of the update: fully rolled out
Users can now automate workflows, that update the start and end dates of timelines separately based on any data column value. This new action is only available in the Enterprise plan.
Use Case
This function supports numerous use cases in the area of project management and task timelines.
When the status of an item changes to “Working on it”, the automation automatically sets the timeline column from the creation date to the due date.
New trigger: When a user joins the account
Status of the update: fully rolled out
Users can now trigger a flow automatically when a new user joins an account. The trigger can be customised based on the role of the new user or activated for each system role in the team.
This new feature is only available in work management in the Enterprise plan.
